I thought we could take a little breather from the VERY INTENSE current world of book publishing for a moment and take in our surroundings. I’m going to go a whole post without even mentioning the word e-book. I know! You probably think I can’t do it. I’ll show you.
In one of the earlier recent threads someone was curious about where people reading the blog are from and the US/international breakdown of the blog readership. And now that I’ve started receiving queries from areas as far away as Pakistan and Nigeria, I’m quite curious myself.
So: where are you living? (city/state/country)

I was ripped from my mother's belly one misty morning in the dim and distant past. My clan lived near Glencoe in Scotland, but at the age of sixteen I was exiled from the village. I set off on a long journey, and in 1984 I met a young script writer from the Americas. With a dram of single malt in hand I told him my story. I am a Highlander, and I now have a new story to tell.

I run several blogs and have seen a similar up-tick from foreign countries, some of which barely speak English. Then it dawned on me that the proportional balance of the global population makes that kind of thing inevitable. Start a global community, you're going to get denizens of the globe.
