Who is the hottest villain in literature?

September 25, 2019 by Nathan Bransford

Book cover of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

On Monday we talked about what makes a good villain. But let’s be honest. Sometimes the villains are kind of hot.

Which villain in literature would you totally make out with?

If I were being honest with myself I’d probably have to go with Amy from Gone Girl (the book version). And no, I’m not proud.

What about you?

It’s been a long while since I read it, but maybe Henry from The Secret History. Tall, pale, dark-haired, confident, and somewhat posh intellectuals usually get me. Feeling certain there is a better answer and probably I need to read more classics. Amy is smart and witty!

The best villain hands down, is Dr. Hannibal Lecter.

Joe Goldberg of course. From Carolyn Kepnes’s You and Hidden Bodies. Bad to the core, even though he doesn’t know he is. And yeah, I think he has the came kind of allure that Amy Dunne has. (ick!)
