I did not expect to arrive in New York and be greeted with an October hurricane, but hey, never a dull moment in NYC. The winds were really intense last night but I was fortunate to only lose cable and Internet, which were back up this morning.

Makes me feel better about living in Iowa. We have some tornadoes, but not much else. Give us a few hundred years, though, and it will be probably be a coastal state.

Time to consider moving to Australia, Nathan? Seriously, hope everyone's weathered the storm and everything's returning to normal. Glad electricity and internet are back up.
This is a scary time for many people, unfortunately. But I'm glad to hear you're doing okay.
You move to New York, and in one month New England gets an earthquake and a hurricane. Guess we just have to wait for the volcano.
But really, glad you're well and may everyone get power back soon and have a safe clean-up. My cousin works road crew in Jersey, and it's just nuts.

My New Jersey suburb got hit–hardly anyone's home has power.
But my house not damaged, my family cold (no heat) but ok and surviving.
Agree with Red Cross needing help.
