It’s a fun read for eight-year-olds and up (adults will enjoy it too).

Good luck with the new release!!
I just did a kindle giveaway with a group of authors and we had some nice responses and someone received a nice e-reader.
Munk says
A random drawing! This is gonna be a cinch.
Tana Adams says
You rock, Nathan! Can't wait to read this allowed to my daughter. =) Godspeed on your success.
Amy says
What's the target age range for the book? I have two boys ages 7 and 12, and I'm always looking for new reading material for them.
Julia G. Darelle says
Congrats on the book! I'll be buying it as a present for my friend's daughter, I'm sure she'll love it!
Shadow says
Congratz on the book nathan but with your competition im stumped by three of the rules-im not over 18 im not in the US and i dont have twitter…oh well
D. Robert Pease says
Looking forward to it Nathan.
Do you have any insight as to why the Kindle version is more than the Hardcover version? I assume this is the publishers doing and not yours, but what were they thinking when they set the prices? If you poled 100 people I'll bet you'd get 100 responses saying the eBook version should be less than the hardcover version. It just seems like terrible marketing to have it the other way around.
Nathan Bransford says
D. Robert-
That's a decision that's made by the publisher. The reasons are somewhat complicated, and I explained them in this post.
DRC says
I'm sure I'll be buying it on the strength of your trailer alone…lol…fantastic!!!!
Josin L. McQuein says
Tweet tweet!
Congrats on the release. (It seems like you should have a corndog buffet for the occasion.) 😛
KimberlyFDR says
The book looks really cool! And thank you for providing such a great contest, too 🙂
terri.forehand says
The book looks like a great read. My grandkids will love it. I tweeted and follow so who knows, a Kindle could be in my future. Congratulations on the book.
We Heart YA says
Wow, awesome giveaway, and we can't wait to read the book (one way or another). 🙂

I just bought your book for my two kids…who by the way are HUGE Star Wars fans so this was PERFECT! Yay for Jacob Wonderbar!!
Kristi Helvig says
Congrats on the release! I'd enter if I used e-readers, but I'll add this to today's contest post on our blog. 🙂
T.J. says
I love randomness. I always lose. But it's always worth a try.
D.G. Hudson says
Many Happy Sales for you, Nathan, and you've got to cash in on the 'corndog' angle. Perhaps a new brand of 'space-friendly corndogs' that will appeal to those sci-fi kids who'll be reading your book. (in weird colours for different planets?)
PS-I'd only buy your book in hardcopy, as a thank-you for running this blog.
Good Luck to all participants in your contest! (But not an option for those of us who don't indulge in Twitter.)
The Red Angel says
What a wonderful Sweepstakes, Nathan! Thank you for this. 🙂 Unfortunately, however, I do not have Twitter and cannot participate. Best of luck to all entrants, though!

D.G. Hudson says
Oh, yes, and I'm not in the USA, so that's another reason I can't participate. It's amazing how many things don't get across the border (hah-free trade in what?)
Just a grumbly Canadian reader. . .
Helen Hanson says
Congratulations! As a mother of a son, I'm glad to see more books targeted toward boys. All the best!
Chris Phillips says
Does the current release include paperback?
Barbara Watson says
Publication week! I'm so excited for you! My kids and I read aloud as much as we can and are always looking for books that appeal to us all (girl, boy, and adult – me). We'll be checking yours out!
Rachael says
Congrats on the release! I've tweeted away!

Matthew MacNish says
You probably could have fit a little more legalese in at the end there Nathan, if you had tried a little harder.
Seriously though, what a cool idea! Go Mavericks.
Gretchen says
Congratulations on the book!
Pam Torres says
Congratulations on the release. This is the perfect book for my granddaughter who hates to read. Thanks!
Marilyn Peake says
Congratulations on the release of your book! Awesome contest!
Thermocline says
It's sad when the rules about giving something away have to be longer than the original announcement.
Sigh.
Mira says
Amy – boys 7 and 12 is the perfect age this book.
Chris – doesn't look like paperbacks are released yet.
This is a fun contest! Sadly, I can't participate, because I don't do Twitter, but I'll cheer on the participants!
Very exciting. Jacob Wonderbar in 4 days.
J. R. Tomlin says
A question, Nathan. Does your novel have female characters? I don't buy all male books for my very techie granddaughter. Not to be … sexist about it or saying someone can't write such a novel, but that's just how it is and your cover kind of gives that imression.
Rebecca Knight says
What a fun giveaway! 😀 I am tweeting as we speak…
Good luck with the release!
Nathan Bransford says
J.R.-
Definitely – Sarah Daisy is one of the three main characters.
Nathan Bransford says
JR-
Also, Sarah Daisy is on the cover?
Anonymous says
Your book looks very cool!!
Anonymous says
Hard to tell that's a girl on the cover.
Martha Ramirez says
Congrats, Nathan! Jacob looks like a fabulous read! Best of luck.
Gotta go and tweet now:)
Natalie Aguirre says
Can't enter because I don't tweet. But awesome contest. And I'm almost done with the book. It's awesome!
Caitlin says
Neat contest! Thanks for putting this on, and congratulations on your book release!
J. T. Shea says
There are probably publishing contracts shorter than your sweepstakes rules, Nathan. And I live in Ireland, which was still not one of the United States last time I checked, so I HATE you! And I don't want your damn Kindle anyway! So there!
But, now I've got that off my chest, I'll buy your book anyway.
sally apokedak says
can we read the first chapter of Jacob Wonderbar somewhere? I never buy a book without reading the first several pages.
Nathan Bransford says
sally-
Stay tuned for Thursday!
J.C. Martin says
Cool contest, and what a fun hashtag! I know I'm not eligible, but have retweeted your contest anyway to help spread the word! 🙂
Diane says
Great trailor! Super fun for kids!!! :O)
Joseph Miller says
Awesome contest!
Indu Nair says
Congratulations!
Looking foward to the excerpt, and the book.
Ishta Mercurio says
Best of luck with the release, Nathan!
And, um, wow. This giveaway has the most involved posting of rules I have ever seen on an author blog. Does this mean giveaways run by other authors and bloggers were done incorrectly or illegally somehow? If I give away a book (or a Kindle, or an iPod) on my blog, do I have a legal obligation to post rules like this? Because thinking about it is giving me hives.
