The baby actually oscillates between i'm-scared-shit-out-of-my-pants and shit-mommy-did-a-funny!

    Thanks for sharing, Nathan.

Saw this the other day and have been madly sending the link to friends. How can anyone stay glum after watching this awesomeness? Love it!

Actually, this is a version of the standard baby freakout game of peek a boo. First mommy's nose disappears (behind a tissue), then it reappears! Magic noses! Who doesn't love playing "got your nose" with a little one! (But it's only fun if you eventually give it back).

I'm actually impressed that you're practicing what you preach, balance and letting a longer blog post go – hopefully to do something else that keeps you in balance!

Writing a great book is a great feeling, and seeing it published greater still. But having a son (or two) is the greatest feeling of all. (Daughters, too, I'm sure, but I only have sons so there you go.)

hat is SOOOOOOOOO cute! Call me a scrooge, but I'm usually not a fan of cute baby videos. That one, however, is awesome!

    Thanks for sharing.

Enjoyed the baby video but then that girl with the Friday song video popped up and I had to scramble to get out of there before my ears began to bleed again. Make the most of your time off, Mr. Bransford. The time to return to work will come all too soon.

Babies are cute, and filled with wonder at the strangest things. Who can resist a baby's laugh?

Nathan, I'm surprised you don't have blog-posts-in-waiting to pop in here when your time gets crunched. (or Free Thread as you've done before).

  24. L.G.Smith says

    March 22, 2011 at 3:58 pm

Adorable. That's the kind of noise I like.

I don't think I would've appreciated this at all 10 months ago – "back in the day" when I didn't have a kid of my own. Now this makes me crack up because I can totally see Carter doing something like this.

    Babies rule.

    Still, it's hilarious. Thanks Nathan.

    Susan Kaye Quinn,

That is hialrious! That baby would cheer up anyone getting a rejection letter. The Dad actually seems to have enjoyed the rejection.

For some reason, my 7-month-old niece is riveted, laughing like crazy, whenever we put this video on for her.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXXm696UbKY

We tried it on her, but she started crying! The sound of paper ripping scared her :o.

  44. Meghan Ward says

    March 23, 2011 at 4:31 am

Very cute! Brings back that feeling of when you laugh hysterically after having had the wits scared out of you. I think Ghost Girl hit the nail on the head when she compared the feeling to a roller coaster ride.
