March 29, 2009 by Nathan Bransford 14 Comments

What a fantastic finish to the Pitt/Villanova game.

And a special “wow wow wow” goes out to Jody-Feldman, who is not only atop the Blog Tournament Challenge, but is 66TH IN THE ENTIRE ESPN TOURNAMENT CHALLENGE.

66TH. Out of 5,000,000+ entrants.

Wow.

Wow wow wow.

    I’m 4,137,562nd.

    That’s not good, is it?

Holy cow, Jody, great job! I have to tell you, though, that we picked the same winner. That doesn’t bode well for you, sorry.

my word verification is fultesti, which can almost be rearranged to read – its futile.

Jody, congrats! I assume you used the good old, choose your birthday, subtract 79, add the date, multiply by 2 and divide by 10,000?

    Well, it worked! Awsome!

    Nathan,

Did you watch the finish to the Division II championship game Saturday afternoon? One of the best shots to win a championship I’ve seen in a long time.

Congrats Jody! I’m still bitter over Michigan State… though my bracket was pretty hosed before that. I guess I’ll just have to woo Nathan with my charm and good looks… oh and maybe some decent writing. 🙂

Go Louisville! Go Conneticut! Go Jody!

Your bracket looks so neat compared with all my crossings out and red – something like my editing.

It was all going so well until sweet sixteen…

Could be an opening line to a YA novel? No, then again, maybe not.

Good luck in the last rounds everyone.

    Way to go, Jody!

I think I’m mathematically eliminated at this point even if Louisville wins. My dreams of being critiqued are crushed, so I guess it’ll be the usual (or hopeful positively unusual!) query letter from me to Nathan! This was fun, the blog is great and I’m glad I recently found it. Thanks, Nathan.

Well, my ten minute totally random picks left me in 4,600,000 range which is, to say the least putrid. Jody-Feldman must have actually researched the dang thing and had some good luck. Good job!

Nathan, that was really fun. I hope you figure out a way to do something like that again.

I pretty much suck at this, though my random pick of Villanova elevated my percentage considerably. I can’t remember who else I picked (other than the winner) so I don’t even know who I should be rooting for. Go, Somebody!

    Major congratulations to Jody! Dayum…

Jody-Feldman I celebrate your success! I will comfort myself by petting my many puppies. And then I will write the hell out of my second manuscript, or as Nathan so aptly stated, “Bah!” Because I should be polishing up that query, dang.
