Heh heh heh….I shouldn’t snicker. Thank you so much for doing this.

500 plus post, “would you say I had a plethora?” Oh yeah!

Hope that gulp had booze in it!

You are spectacular for doing this.

“5) Spreading the word about the challenge by means of the Internet is encouraged. Let’s make this one the most largely indispensible ever. 700 entries? 10,000? A BILLION? Bring it!! I’m ready.”

    Just remindin’ ya. 🙂

I do believe the word has been spread.

You haven’t even hit 700 yet! Why are you gulping?

Thanks again. I’ll, ah, try and refrain from posting a 3rd. But ya know, I am home all day today….

    Nathan:

Don’t blame you for going ‘gulp’ with all those responses.

I won’t add to them, though. I’m keeping my nose to the grindstone revising my manuscript so that it will end up as polished as possible prior to queries.

    Good luck, though.

You are a prince among men… (hey, a little flattery couldn’t hurt, could it?)

Thanks again for all the time you’re devoting to us.

Nathan, you’re so cute when you do that.

“Spreading the word about the challenge by means of the Internet is encouraged.”

Now, are we supposed to feel guilty?

Nathan, would you mind mentioning that Evil Editor over at https://evileditor.blogspot.com would (no doubt) be thrilled to post the first 150 words of these entries? The evil minions write twisted continuations for them and then comment on the original content. Good fun all around!

    Awww, Bless.

I feel bad for spreading the word now, but you did say you were up for it!

    GULP! indeed.
Fascinating stuff this. Watching the numbers grow…and grow…and GROW.
I’m new to your blog (yes, the word spread far and wide) and I can’t decide if you’ve lost the plot or this is normal behaviour.
Best of luck though. You’re a braver man than me but then again I’m a woman.
As for The Hills – what is it?

Awww, you should’ve requested a small entry fee….could’ve bought alot of bourbon. 🙂
Good Luck To Ya! Just keep thinking of how popular you are.

I am guilty of spreading the word, but I got people to come to the blog and see how good it is. So I don’t feel all that bad.

Dwight makes note of Nathan’s last word for posterity and sadly waves to his ghastly, shrinking espression as it disappears into darkening shades of blue beneath the rippling water.

    Soldier, I wish you well.

Hey, don’t look at me. I only submitted one paragraph. You don’t represent the genres of the other stories I have ready to go.

Mea culpa. I should have submitted my three openings in three different posts instead of neatly sticking thm into one. That’s not way to help you make a billion. 😉

Btw, are you aware that an evil little typo gnome has taken over the comments section?

I haven’t been following your comments trails terribly closely lately, but has Miss Snark come by to laugh at you again?

Once more, thanks for doing this, Nathan. You are brave. Maybe a little foolhardy, but no one ever took over the world by playing it safe.

Heehee, well, I’ll have to do one more paragraph now just to see how many we can get.

And second-the-motion for a plug for Evil Editor. It’s great fun and we need new victims….er, I mean joiners.

Was that gulp one of trepidation, or one of bourbon?
